Attach ta Tuque!

 This is the Cuautla buses!
Hola! Como esta?
The first three days has felt rather like one full week! The 1&2 day were spent at Margarita and Hermes’ house. Their hospitality was heart warming. They care a lot for Kendall and I, therefore after 2 days of Kendall being sick and feverish they sent him to the hospital to get checked and brought me to my little paradise; The Spa in Cuautla. At my arrival Yeri and Jesus were waiting to meet me.
This is the Ayala Campus.

Yesterday was my first day at UPN Ayala campus. Jesus, the principal of the University Ayala meet me at the Spa for 7am so we could catch the bus together. Now, let me tell you the buses in Cuautla are far from being similar to our public buses. Cuautla buses hold no more then 14 people at a time. The benches in the buses are so small and you back always hits the windowsill. This sun heats the bus and it rolls at unbelievable speed. The entrance door is so small I hit my head at least 3 times going in and out of them! The bus itself is quite the adventure! When Jesus and I finally arrive to the school he gave me a tour of the gorgeous school: a large land with two small buildings where classes take place. Now I do not think I made myself clear how I communicate with the people at the campus. They speak Spanish and I reply with the best of my abilities in Spanish. Let me tell you that it is exhausting at the end of the day! After the tour I decided to attend a class with the students. I surprised myself by understanding ¼ of the content that was being taught. Yesterday’s subject was the techniques of communication in teaching. Lots of laughter between students and teachers, the class dynamic is perfecto!  After class Yari (a magnificent co-worker) and I prepared ourselves to run a meeting with the students. A meeting was held around noon with the 30 participants, Yari, Jesus and me. The meeting, held in Spanish, seemed to me as a success. They played a game to get comfortable within the group.
Group meeting!
We divided the group into two and we got started on brainstorming for the self-watering container and Peace Garden projects.  Together the entire group will maintain the compost project. The students are energetic and fulfilled with inspiring ideas.
After the meeting Jesus and I left the school at 2h30 to catch the rocky bus back to the Spa. The food at the Spa is RICO (delicious) everything is vegan, organic and bio. My meals are healthy and make my stomach the happiest one on this earth. It dances and makes me smile. Life here is relaxing and peaceful!

Me at the Spa! Zen & Peaceful!
Today Kendall is back and healthy at the Spa with me. I had a good day at school with the students. I socialized a lot with the class. I had a meeting with Yari, we communicated a lot through Google translation! This is the best tool ever! We got a lot of things cleared out thanks to Google! Mucho Gracias Google!

Now I will take a break and tan in the sun as Kendall and I need to wake up at 6am to catch the bus around 7am tomorrow morning!
Hasta luego,
Gabrielle
