Hola a todos!
It has been a little over 2 weeks
that I am back in Canada. I have to say I missed the fresh and cool weather! As
soon as I got home I backed my bags and got ready to go up north to the Mont-Tremblant
for 4 days. I was able to get back into my old habits of winter skiing. I skied
for 2 days and was able to enjoy a gorgeous day in the spring skiing sun. I
felt in paradise once more, taking the chairlift up the mountain being able to
soak up the Canadian sun. It was a beautiful day. I relaxed and reflected a lot
upon the wonderful achievements my friends, in Mexico, and I had accomplished.
After Easter break I got back to
school and back to reality: attending meetings, planning events and completing
paper work. I got to talk about my adventures and experiences at Ayala campus
with my friends and teachers. During my first week back at Dawson, I was asked
to create a presentation that I would present in several classes and in front
of the staff and teachers of Dawson. Therefore, last week, I spent my whole
week going from class to class sharing all the inspiring projects that Ayala
students has done at their campus. It was great to see the sparks on students’ eyes
when they would hear all the amazing projects that Ayala had taken on. The
students and teachers were impressed at the amount of work the Ayala students
had accomplished. The questions and feedback were all positive. I felt proud of
the Ayala students and wished that they and their teachers could have been
there with me to hear all the positive response from Dawson.
Apart from the presentations, we
have been busy getting ready to welcome our 3 Mexican friends who will be
joining us for Earth Week at Dawson. They will be arriving April 20th
and will be staying with us until April 30, 2013. We are all excited to have
them come and spend a few days with us. We will be having special events and activities
for them while they will be here. We are excited to show them around our campus,
Montreal and share our culture with them.
Hasta la proxima,
Gabrielle :)
P.S. I really hope to hear from Ayala campus soon.
